ProZ.com is a membership-based website targeting freelance translators. Founded in 1999, it is mainly used for posting and responding to translation job offers. As of 10 February 2017, ProZ.com reports more than 850,000 registered users, spanning more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

The site is available in more than 45 languages and is being localized in 35 other languages, although localization is not complete for many languages, the default setting being English. QuantCast reports ProZ.com has 220k monthly unique U.S. visitors.

The website is not restricted to professional translators and hosts a number of semi-professional and amateur translators. It is open to anyone, without proof of competency or legal registration.


TranslatorsCafe

Translatorscafe.com is similar site with proz.com. It is meant for professional and registered translators, but amateur translators do get job from there as well.  It is easy to navigate on the site and quick look feature gives you the possibility to see all open jobs suitable for you.

Registration is free and so is bidding. This is probably the only site where freelancer does not have to pay any fees. Huge plus for this site. Employers can either give their contact information on the job posts or they can contact the freelancers according the bids.

Functions of this page are similar with proz.com, payments are paid directly to freelancers, no milestones or escrow. Though everything is up to you if you are willing to take a huge project without any guarantee of payment.  Everything is negotiable and this site has merely professional people. Translatorscafe.com is good site for translator, both amateur and professional.

The Translation Journal is in an online journal for translators and interpreters and friends of the industry. The articles are written by translators, interpreters and industry experts and has been published online for over 17 years! It is platform to spotlight the translators talents and achievements and this platform aims to be a source of high quality materials specifically dedicated to help translators and interpreters more productive, to make more money, and to provide more service to their clients.

Glosbe is a multilingual dictionary. It covers ALL languages and is developed by the community, just like wikipedia.
